Using the new Messaging API

One of the highlights of the New Marketing Automation Experience is its new API, which simplifies the sending of all your emails by offering you a single solution. This API is ideal for all transactional communications or for marketing campaigns triggered by a third-party or external tool to Splio which triggers the sending of emails.

The Messaging API allows you to send emails following events occurring outside of Splio. These trigger events can come from external sources such as your e-commerce for example. It is designed to be easy to implement and meet all use cases not available in Splio, more information on our technical documentation.

Content personalization can be done with any type of data, whether it complies with the data model or not. In addition, the data used for personalization can already be in Splio or brought with the trigger. The email can be created in Splio using the Message Builder (recommended) , but can also be imported directly in HTML format.

This feature offers many customization possibilities, including formatting numbers, strings, or even integrating customization loops.

Additionally, all sendings going through this new API will exclude by default all hard and soft bounce contacts present in your blacklist to guarantee your deliverability.

Statistics

This API allows you to track emails received per send as well as overall statistics for each campaign.

Pricing

This feature is included in the MA license, at no additional cost.

Points of attention

It is recommended that contacts already exist in the Splio database before using this Messaging API. However, if this is not the case, it is still possible to use the API by sending the necessary customization variables, but this is less recommended because it can lead to a degradation of customer knowledge in Splio.
