1.1. Vertical layout

In RCS, the vertical layout displays horizontal multimedia content at the top of the message. The minimum height for a vertical rich message is 112 DP.

You can use the following sizes for multimedia content in the vertical format:

  • Small: 112 DP

  • Medium: 168 DP

  • Large: 264 DP

Supported aspect ratios:

  • 2:1

  • 16:9

1.2. Horizontal layout

In horizontal messages, multimedia content appears either to the left or the right of the text.

Helpful information:

  • A horizontal rich card doesn't have a fixed media ratio, but it does have a fixed width of 128 DP.

  • The height adjusts automatically based on the amount of text in the message.

2. Carrousel

You can include up to 10 items per carousel, each with vertical formatting only.

To keep in mind:

  • The tallest item in the carousel sets the height for all others.

  • To avoid content being cut off, use short titles and concise text.

  • Message: Max. 2000 characters

  • Height: Max. 592 DP

  • Width: 120 DP (small) or 232 DP (medium)
