Push Notification with OneSignal

Splio now supports Push Notifications as a messaging channel, powered by OneSignal. This allows you to send push notifications to your contacts' mobile devices (iOS, Android) and web browsers directly from Splio, using the same campaign workflow you already know for email, SMS and RCS.

How the integration works

To be able to use Push notifications on Splio, you need to set-up the integration between your App <> OneSignal account <> Splio universe.

Check our developer documentation for more details.

Creating a Push Notification Campaign

In One-Shot Campaigns

  1. Create a new One-Shot campaign

  2. In the channel selection, choose Send a push notification

  3. A drawer opens with:

    • Design details tab: fill in the notification Title, Message, and Media URL

      • Media URL: you can copy/paste a Media URL (GIFs have specificities per device and Videos are not supported)

      • Tap on the notification: you can add a link to redirect the contact to a specific page (on your app or elsewhere)

    • Action Settings tab: set campaign category, submission speed, and capping

    • Seedlist tab: select a contact to receive the notification in addition to your filter.

In Automations

  • The push notification step is also available in Automations:

  • You can use additional conditions on the Push to refine your campaign.

Targeting

Push notifications can be targeted using the condition "Subscribed to push notification" in both:

  • Targets (for One-Shot campaigns)

  • Conditions (in Automations)

You can filter contacts by:

  • App (select the OneSignal app)

  • Device type: iOS, Android, or Web
