Understanding the different campaign statuses
If you are using Campaigns whether you are creating a One-shot campaign or an Automation campaign, you may see different statuses.
Below, we have listed their description and where they can be found:
One-Shot campaigns
Status | Description |
Draft | The campaign is being created but hasn't been scheduled yet. You can still edit everything: content, audience, timing, etc. |
Scheduled | The campaign is ready to go and will be sent automatically at the scheduled time. You can still cancel or edit i before it starts sending. |
Sending | The campaign is currently being delivered to recipients. Depending on the size of the list, it might take a few minutes or longer. |
Canceled before sending | The campaign was scheduled, but you canceled it before it started sending. No recipients received it. |
Canceled while sending | The campaign started sending, but you stopped it mid-way. Some recipients may have received it, others not. It is only possible in the case of an A/B test or a campaign with a sending window. |
Error | The campaign failed to be sent to any recipient, as there were not enough SMS/RCS credits at the time of sending the campaign. |
Sent | The campaign was successfully delivered to all possible recipients. You can now view performance metrics like opens, clicks, and conversions. |
Automations campaigns
Status | Description |
Draft | The automation is being built but hasn't started yet. You can still edit steps, triggers, and audience rules. |
Running | The automation is actively processing contacts who meet the entry point requirements. New contacts can enter, and existing ones are moving through the steps. |
Draining | The automation has been paused for new entries, but existing contacts are still finishing their paths. No new contacts will enter, but the campaign isn't fully stopped yet. |
Drained | The automation is completely finished. All contacts have exited, and no new ones will enter. It's like a “completed” status. |
Stopped | The automation was manually halted. All activity stops immediately - no new entries, and current contacts won't continue. |
